Amanullah Messaadi, the member of the scientific committee, affirmed the figures showing an improvement in the epidemiological situation in Tunisia.

Messaadi said on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, that the recording of zero deaths on October 11 proves the relief from the health crisis that Tunisia has experienced recently.

“The zero that was recorded on October 11 is completely different from the zero recorded in 2020 in terms of value,” he said. “All the indicators are positive because a real improvement has been recorded in the health crisis, whether at the level of the occupancy rate of hospitals or that of positive.”

He underlined the need to convince those who abstain from being inoculated of the importance of vaccination in relation to the acquisition of collective immunity, considering that the adoption of the vaccination certificate can contribute to the increase of the number of vaccinated.

Mesaadi added that at the meeting of the scientific committee, held yesterday, it was proposed to cancel the PCR test for fully vaccinated travelers in addition to children under 12 years old.

The committee also discussed the possibility of reducing the number of quarantine days from 10 to 7 days.
