After a somewhat timid start to the year, the Chinese brand CHERY seems to be getting back on track in Tunisia. Indeed, the brand recorded an increase in sales of 87% compared to the month of September and 10% compared to October 2022. This performance allows CHERY to return to the Top 10 in the automobile sales ranking in Tunisia.

This recovery of the brand is notably due to the excellent performance of its best-seller, the CHERY TIGGO 3X, the best-selling SUV in October. This compact SUV recorded sales growth of 130% compared to the month of September and 27% compared to October 2022.

The CHERY TIGGO 3X, priced at 65,500 DT, is an SUV at an incredibly affordable price, very well equipped and reliable, which allows it to attract many Tunisian customers.

In addition to the CHERY TIGGO 3X, the brand’s other models are also enjoying some success in Tunisia. The CHERY TIGGO 7 PRO, a family SUV priced at 99,500 DT, also recorded an increase of 50% compared to the month of September.

This takeover of the CHERY brand is good news for the Tunisian automobile market. It shows that Chinese brands are now able to compete with Korean, Japanese, and European brands in the Tunisian market.

The prospects for the CHERY brand in Tunisia are rather good. The brand plans to increase its sales in 2024. To do this, the brand is counting on the launch of new models and the introduction of hybrid and electric technology.

The CHERY brand is also engaged in the development of its distribution network in Tunisia which currently has 7 points of sale. The brand also plans to open 2 new points of sale in 2024.

With its new models soon available in the Tunisian market and its expanding distribution network, the CHERY brand is well positioned to continue its growth in Tunisia.
