Tunisia: Prime Minister Hails Algeria’s Support for Her Country

The honeymoon between Algeria and Tunisia continues. After supporting Algiers, which hosted the Arab League summit in early November in a context marked by dissension in the Arab world, the head of the Tunisian executive Najla Bouden paid a visit to the Algerian capital on Monday.

2 days after the visit of the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs to Tunis during which he transmitted to President Kais Saied a message from his Algerian counterpart, the head of the Tunisian government, Najla Bouden, arrived on Monday in Algeria for a visit one-day official. When she got off the plane, the Prime Minister of Tunisia was received by her counterpart Ayman bin Abdel Rahman.

One of the highlights of this visit by the Tunisian Prime Minister to Algeria is undoubtedly her meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. At the end of this interview which was held at the Palace of the Presidency of the Republic of Algeria, Najla Bouden confided in the press.

“I had the honor of meeting the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to whom I conveyed the greetings and renewed congratulations of President Kaïs Saïed for the success of the Arab Summit hosted by Algeria, at the beginning of November, as well as her wishes for more prosperity for Algeria,” she said.

The head of the Tunisian government also expressed her country’s deep gratitude to President Tebboune and his government, which is supporting Tunisia in this period of strong economic conditions that it is going through.

Strengthening a global strategic partnership

In addition, Najla Bouden also declared that her visit to Algeria was aimed at “exchanging views, following the projects developed within the framework of the Algerian-Tunisian Joint Grand Commission, and preparing the work of the next commission planned in Algiers, as well as ‘to examine the means allowing the establishment of a global strategic partnership between the two countries.

This is the second visit made by the Prime Minister to Algiers. The first dates back to November 25, 2022.
