The Tunisian scientific committee has decided to take new measures for people arriving in Tunisia. These measures have been validated by the Ministry of Health. From now on, the RT-PCR test will be compulsory for all travellers who will have to self-isolate for stays of more than 5 days.

From Monday, November 16, 2020, self-quarantine will again be mandatory for a period of 14 days in his place of residence or in hotels at the expense of travellers.

The Tunisian Scientific Committee has announced new measures to fight the covid-19 pandemic. These measures have been approved by the Tunisian Ministry of Health and concern in particular those arriving on Tunisian soil.

From now on, all passengers must present a negative RT-PCR test result less than 72 hours before boarding. They will also have to complete a health form (health card) with the obligation to download the mobile application necessary for monitoring.

Rapid ” tests will also be carried out on arrival on a sample of passengers selected at random.

From Monday, November 16, 2020, self-quarantine will again be mandatory for a period of 14 days in his place of residence or in specialized hotels at the expense of travellers.

In the event of non-compliance with self-isolation, the people concerned will be placed in a compulsory containment centre at their own expense.

Note that to shorten the deadlines of the fortnight, those who wish can perform an RT-PCR test on the seventh day. If the test is negative, this quarantine can then be lifted after 7 days.

Other special measures have been validated for those arriving in Tunisia for a short stay or returning after a short period spent outside the borders.

Thus, travellers who arrive in Tunisia for a stay of fewer than 5 days must necessarily present a negative RT-PCR test less than 72 hours before boarding.

Until now, French visitors on charter flights or those with an organized trip (“Inclusive Tour / Voyage à Forfait”) were not affected by these measures. In the communication from the Ministry of Health, it is not at all specified whether this exception still applies.

But anyway, given the current context in France and the recommendations of SETO which recommend postponing all trips until November 30, 2020, it is currently very complicated to travel to Tunisia as part of a trip from Hobbies.
