The French Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin, who made a “working visit” to Algeria on Saturday and Sunday, as part of a tour in the Maghreb countries, had come with a list of “French of origin. Algerian ”that France wants to expel to Algeria.

According to corroborating sources, Algeria refused this list, believing it to be not Algerians but French people who were indeed born in France! These are not illegal migrants or harragas but French people whose parents are of Algerian or Maghrebian origin. They are individuals involved in acts of violence or terrorism, born in France, but whose parents are of Algerian origin.

France continues to consider the French of Algerian or Maghrebi origin as “immigrants and not full French”.

In this sense, a French minister has indeed qualified Zinedine Zidane, the architect of the consecration of France in 1998, of emigrants when he is a Frenchman born in France, whose parents are of Algerian origin.
