Tunisia: Kaïs SAïed Presides Over the Commemoration Ceremony of the Feast of Martyrs

According to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic. The President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kaïs Saïed, chaired, on Saturday, the commemoration ceremony of the 84th anniversary of the Martyrs’ Day, at the Carré des martyrs in Sijoumi (Tunis).

This is what emerges from a press release published by the Presidency of the Republic and relayed by the official press agency, Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP).

During the ceremony, “the head of state laid a wreath in front of the commemorative plaque of the martyrs and recited the Fatiha in their memory,” the statement said.

According to the same source, the Head of Government, Najla Bouden, the Minister of National Defense, Imed Memiche, the Governor of Tunis, Kamel Féki, the Mayor of Tunis, Souad Abderrahim, as well as the members of the Superior Council of the Armed Forces participated in the ceremony.
