As part of the fight against the spread of the deadly virus, namely Covid-19, some countries, like France and the United States of America, have classified the countries most affected by this virus in red lists, thus considering them as high-risk destinations for their citizens.

Indeed, the aforementioned lists group together the countries and territories considered to be the most at risk, where the circulation of the virus is active and observed with the presence of worrying variants.

For the United States, the countries of North Africa, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia among others, are in the throes of a strong resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The CDC was not sufficiently informed about the health situation in Algeria

In this context, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) classifies Morocco and Tunisia in category (4), i.e. the list of countries with high risk, the CDC’s official website said.

Note that to move from category (3), which is considered high level, to category (4), high risk, the country must register more than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, and this, during the last 28 days, the CNN website reported.

For countries classified in category (3), they must register between 100 and 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants during the last 28 days.

As for Algeria, the American center for disease prevention and control says on its official website that it does not have enough information on the development of the health situation in the country.

To this end, and in order not to take the risk, the CDC has classified Algeria in the category (4) of high-risk countries and advises citizens against traveling to this country.

It is also useful to indicate that the White House recently announced that it will allow, starting next November, fully vaccinated foreigners into the United States.
