As New Year’s Eve approaches; Tunisia is already preparing to relaunch its tourism. After being hit this summer by a wave of virulence of covid-19, the health situation in the neighboring country is starting to stabilize.

Faced with a stable situation, Tunisia has revised the entry conditions for foreigners, including Algerians. The Tunisair airline has made public the new measures that come into force today; Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Indeed, from this Tuesday; foreign travelers, as well as Algerians traveling to Tunisia, must present a PCR-type coronavirus screening test upon boarding. The latter must be negative, contain a QR code, and be less than 72 hours old.

This document is required from all passengers, children under 12, who plan to embark for Tunisia; stressed the Tunisian airline.

Vaccinated and non-vaccinated travelers

Once in Tunisia, Algerian travelers will be divided between those who are vaccinated and those who are not. Indeed, passengers who are not fully vaccinated will be subject to mandatory 10-day confinement. The latter will be the responsibility of the traveler in special centers for this.

As regards Vaccinated Algerians, they will be able to avoid this obligation; but they will be able to face, at the Tunisian airport an antigen test carried out randomly on a sample of travelers.
