The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a delegation representing the “Meta” company specializing in social networks, led by Kojo Boiké, vice-president of public policies for African countries, the Middle East and Turkey, according to a press release made public by the Presidency of the Republic, this Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
According to the same press release, “The meeting was an opportunity to discuss Algeria’s capacity to use modern technologies, which can guarantee freedom of expression, apart from hate speech and slander.”
Also allowing to highlight the infrastructure capacities of Algeria, in particular, the fiber optic network, as well as the development of startups, which creates opportunities for success in the fields of investment and the promotion of several sectors.
This meeting saw the presence on the Algerian side of the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, and the Director General of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic, Kamel Sidi Said.
