Soft Power: Morocco among the Three Most Influential African Countries in the World

The British firm Brand Finance has just published its annual ranking of the most influential countries in the world. The three most influential African countries are Egypt, South Africa and Morocco, which is doing better than its African and Maghreb neighbors.

During its annual Global Soft Power meeting held on March 2, the British firm Brand Finance presented its 2023 ranking of the most influential nations in the world by analyzing 121 countries. On the African scale, Morocco (66th in the world) comes third in this ranking of the most influential countries in the world, ahead of Mauritius (67th in the world ), Seychelles (74th ) , Tunisia (83rd ) in the world, Rwanda ( 85th ), Algeria (86th ) , Ivory Coast (87th), Ghana (92nd), Nigeria (93rd worldwide).

Comparing with the previous ranking, three countries on the African continent – ​​Egypt, South Africa and Morocco – have all lost influence on the eight pillars of Soft Power established by the study: business and trade, governance, international relations, culture and traditions, media and communication, education and science, population and values, then sustainable future.
