Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Faisal Bin Farhan Bin Abdullah, arrived in Algeria yesterday for the first time since the election of Abdelmadjid Tebboune as president of the country.

Algerian media sources said that Prince Faisal will discuss with the Algerian officials “the situation in Libya, as well as the two countries’ efforts to find a peaceful solution in this Arab country, and the rejection of foreign military intervention in the Libyan territories.”

According to the sources, the Saudi minister’s visit also aims to promote economic cooperation between the two countries, especially after the amendments introduced by Algeria to its investment laws.

The Saudi foreign minister’s visit comes shortly after an official visit by Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum to the kingdom.
