The Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour, signed on October 19, 2022, in Rabat, a memorandum of understanding with Simon Azoulay, president of the Alten Maroc group, a specialist in engineering and consulting in technologies (ICT) for the creation of 1,000 new direct jobs in offshoring in Morocco by 2026.

Jobs will be the result of a project involving an investment of more than 30 million dirhams covering the areas of engineering, banking, insurance, finance, IT and telecoms.

According to the two partners, these investments will be deployed in two phases. The first, scheduled from 2022 to 2024, will create more than 700 direct stable jobs, 88% of whom will be engineers, and the second, which runs from 2025 to 2026, with the objective of creating more than 300 direct stable jobs, of which 88% are engineers. “This new investment project is part of the implementation of the Outsourcing offer in Morocco, which aims to make the Kingdom one of the most competitive countries in the region in this sector. This agreement is a reminder once again of the importance of digital in Morocco and the commitment of the Moroccan government and key players in the digital economy at national and international level towards this sector,” said Ghita Mezzour.
