Morocco’s Royal Family on Vacation in Cuba

King Mohammed VI, accompanied by members of his family, left Morocco on Friday for a family trip in Cuba.

King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Lalla Salma, Moulay El Hassan and Lalla Khadija, left Morocco Friday to enjoy some family time in Cuba. The royal family will stay on Cayo Santa Maria, an island in the Cuban archipelago of Jardines del Rey.

The monarch’s agenda was full during the first months of 2017. It encompassed three trips to Sub-Saharan Africa, the latest of which included five countries, namely South Sudan, Ghana, Zambia, Guinea and Côte d’Ivoire. The King’s tour to Sub-Saharan African too place from February 1 to March14.

When the King returned to the country, he presided over a series of royal activities including the launch of the National Solidarity Campaign and major development projects in Tangier and Ouarzazate.

On April 5, the King appointed Saad-Eddin El Othmani as head of the government. One day earlier, the king had appointed the 12 members of the Constitutional Court.

On Thursday, April 6, Mohammed VI appointed the members of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ).

After a dizzying series of diplomatic and national activities, the King and his family are finally enjoying  some quality time together.
