Morocco receives a new batch of AstraZeneca vaccine

Morocco received 650,000 additional doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, on Saturday, May 15, 2021. What to give a boost to the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus.

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Dreamliners landed on Saturday, May 15 at 11 p.m. at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The two devices had left for Sweden where they loaded and transported 650,000 additional doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. After landing, this batch of vaccine was transported by SNTL refrigerated trucks to the services of the Autonomous Refrigeration Authority of Casablanca (RAFC).

With this new delivery, Morocco will correct the slowdown in its vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. As of May 15, 6,171,437 people have received the first dose. There are 4,500,638 people who were injected with the two doses. The vaccination campaign now takes into account people aged between 45 and 50 years.
