According to the technical specifications, the group will supply 66 Citadis X05 (+22 optional). They will operate in multiple units approximately 65 m in length, with a maximum capacity of 630 passengers. Their assembly planned in Barcelona – and not in La Rochelle as was the case for the trainsets of lines 1 and 2 – will be supported by the Alstom Cabliance factory in Fès, which will supply the electrical cabinets and wiring while the team of ‘Alstom Maroc will provide after-sales service (SAV). With its solid industrial fabric in Morocco, 13.8% of the market will be executed locally.

According to the Economist , lines 3 and 4 will require an investment of 7 billion dirhams ($ 764 million), jointly financed by the Support Fund for Urban and Interurban Transport Reforms (FART), the urban municipality of Casablanca and the region. Casablanca-Settat. The two lines will be built simultaneously according to a common schedule and their entry into service is scheduled for 2022 – 2023.
