In accordance with what had leaked in the press, the one who was also the former Africa adviser to François Hollande will put down her suitcases in Brussels, where she will take the head of the Middle East and North Africa department of the European External Action Service. (EEAS), the equivalent of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the European Union (EU).

Contacted by Jeune Afrique, the SEAE confirms that the now ex-ambassador will take office in October. Pending the appointment of his successor, the interim is ensured by Arnaud Pescheux, appointed Minister Counselor at the Embassy last August.
