Morocco was elected, Wednesday, May 24, a member representing governments on the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization (OAT), for the first time since 2006.

Morocco was elected, Wednesday, May 24, a member representing governments on the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization (OAT), for the first time since 2006.

The Kingdom was elected on the sidelines of the work of the 49th session of the Arab Labor Conference, which is being held in Cairo, announcing a press release from the Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills.

This session also witnessed the formation of representation from several constitutional and statutory bodies of the Arab Labor Organization, such as the Financial and Administrative Control Authority and the Arab Women’s Labor Affairs Committee for the period 2023- 2025 in which Morocco became a member. It will include representation from the Moroccan government, employers and workers’ group, in addition to Morocco’s representation in the Arab Social Security Association.

Thus, Morocco won, in this context, five seats, including two seats in the Arab Commission for Arab Women’s Employment Affairs (governments and employers), two seats in the Financial and Administrative Control Authority (Governments and Workers’ Group), and a seat in the Arab Social Security Association (Governments).
