The Moroccan capital, Rabat, was the scene of a massive demonstration on Sunday in support of Palestine and to denounce the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, corresponding to December 10 each year.

Organized at the initiative of the National Action Group for Palestine (a non-governmental organization), tens of thousands of protesters gathered in the historic ”Bab al-Hadd” Square, before heading towards the streets of Mohammed V, where the seat of Parliament is located.

According to the Anadolu correspondent, participants brandished Palestinian and Moroccan flags and images of the Al-Aqsa mosque, chanting slogans in favor of Gaza.

Placed under the slogan ”Against the Holocaust in Gaza… let’s put an end to normalization”, former ministers and emblematic figures such as the former Minister of Communication and the former spokesperson government official, Mustafa. Al-Khalfi, and thinker and philosopher Taha Abdel Rahman took part in the demonstration.

Other Moroccan cities were also the scene of several protest rallies in solidarity with Gaza, organized by the “Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization” (non-governmental).
