Meriem Sassi, leader, and member of the political council of the Free Democratic Party (PDL), will have to appear tomorrow, Thursday, March 28, 2024, before the Court of First Instance of Tunis.

On the occasion, former MP and PDL leader Awatef Grich Abid once again expressed her solidarity with Meriem Sassi, who we recall was arrested on March 4, before being the subject of a detention warrant. Thursday, March 7.

According to her lawyers, Meriem Sassi is accused of computer fraud when filing the appeal with the registry office of the Presidency of the Republic, stressing that the file is empty.

Note that the president of the Abir Moussi Party has been in detention since last October in connection with this same affair, a detention that the PDL considers arbitrary and based on a political trial to exclude its president and her candidate from the next presidential election.
