Algeria denounced, through the voice of its ambassador in Vienna, the expansionist policies of Morocco and Israel, and accused the kingdom of having carried out “hostile acts” against it with the support of its new ally.
“We cannot continue to speak out on the benefits of the so-called Abrahamic Accords if, at the base, the preferred conception and approach perpetuate the illegal occupation of territories colonized by force and in defiance of the relevant United Nations resolutions” , criticized Mounia Boumaiza.
“These Agreements definitively bury the Arab Peace Initiative,” she said in a speech at the 28th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Stockholm (2 -3 December).
Ms. Boumaiza, who led the Algerian delegation to this meeting, recalled that in 2002, on the initiative of Saudi Arabia, proposed a peace plan to Israel.
“This plan offered the recognition of Israel by all the Arab states, at the same time, against the solution of two separate states, living side by side in peace and security,” recalled the Algerian ambassador, stressing that this plan had been “disdainfully rejected by Israel, which clearly prefers entering into separate agreements to sow division within the Arab nation.” ”
Then, the Algerian ambassador responded to the attacks against Algeria because of its refusal to recognize Israel, a country she designates as a Zionist entity.
“Some media subject to lobbyist funding try to discredit the Algerian word and to damage the image of Algeria by making believe that we use the expression Zionist entity by rejection of the Jewish religion and that we would therefore be anti-Semitic, racist , even hateful, ”denounced the Algerian diplomat.
“Algerians as Arab Berber people are Semites”
In response to these media, Ms. Boumaiza recalled what she described as “an absolutely undeniable historical fact : Algerians as Arab Berber people are Semites. ”
“All of Shem’s descendants are Semites whether they are Jews, Christians, Muslims or even atheists. Semitism is not conditioned by any religion, ”she said, brushing aside false accusations of anti-Semitism against Algeria.
Algerian diplomacy also recalled that Algeria is opposed to Zionism on principle and that the fight against racism is written in its DNA. “Algeria is anti-racist, I was going to say because of its historical DNA. We are proud to have fought apartheid. We were very much alone at the start of our struggle against this most abject expression of racism. It is Algeria which excluded the apartheid regime from the confines of the United Nations, ”she asserted.
While warning of the consequences of the military alliance between Israel and Morocco on peace in the Mediterranean, the Algerian diplomat accused Morocco of having carried out hostile acts against Algeria with the support of Israel. “(…) The recent escalation in our region shows that, under the guise of normalization, Israel and Morocco intend to support each other to continue trampling on international law. I cannot ignore the recent acts of hostility and marked aggressions carried out by Morocco against Algeria with the support of Israel, ”she said.
To support his remarks, Fouzia Boumaiza cited the four most recent “hostile acts”. The first is the large-scale Pegasus spy case which affected “6,000 phones of Algerian officials, including all the ambassadors”, the second is the murder on November 1 of three Algerian truckers by Morocco, the third is the support given by Morocco to a secessionist movement in Algeria.
“The fourth act of aggression: it is the purchase by Morocco from Israel of Harop drones better known under the name of Kamikaze drones for their lethal capacities, since each drone can carry up to 20 kilos of explosives, ”revealed the Algerian ambassador.
