EU-Tunisia Meeting on Cooperation Projects in the Areas of Social Advancement and Migration

The Tunisian Minister of Social Affairs and the Ambassador of the European Union in Tunis met on Monday

Tunisian Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Ezzahi, and European Union Ambassador to Tunis, Marcus Cornaro, held talks on Monday in Tunis on cooperation projects in the areas of social advancement and migration between Tunisia and the EU. This was reported by the Tunis Afrique Presse agency (TAP/official).

The two parties reviewed the monitoring of the implementation of cooperation projects between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the European Union in the field of social promotion, in particular the “Amen social” program and the joint project aimed at the integration which the strengthening project was carried out jointly by the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Ministry of the Family with European funding.

The two officials also reviewed the progress of the national project “Tounesna” (Our Tunisia) aimed at integrating migrants into the economic circuit at regional and local levels.

Ezzahi underlined, on this occasion, the importance of cooperation which makes it possible to find effective solutions to migration with the participation of all the countries concerned, in addition to the consolidation of the social role of the State in the context of an approach , which takes into account Tunisia’s capacities and paves the way for partnership and investment in the economic empowerment sector, the same source reads.
