The president of the Consumer Protection Association (APOCE), Mustapha Zebdi, speaks about the date for the resumption of importing cars into Algeria. We tell you all the news in the rest of our article for this Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Indeed, the Algerian automotive market is experiencing an unprecedented scarcity of any vehicle. In addition, we see a surge in the prices of used vehicles. As well as an almost non-existent import of new vehicles. By the way, the import was suspended three (03) years ago now. As for the recovery, Mustapha Zebdi has spread explanations. This is what online media TSA reports. These are therefore about the date of the return of the import of cars to Algeria.

However, the Algerian authorities had announced the official resumption of the import of new vehicles. And this, for the end of the current month of January. Or January 2022. However, the latter is coming to an end. Without any novelty as to the specifications governing the new terms which would frame future imports.

Moreover, the reform of the specifications in question governing this activity is a matter for the top of the hierarchy. This is the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Thus, this reorganization is based on three main lines. Namely, segment imports according to the type of vehicle, facilitation, and streamlining of procedures. And finally, the removal of blockages. In any case, this is what the aforementioned source specifies.

Importing cars into Algeria: the legislation is long-awaited

In this context, the president of the Consumer Protection Association (APOCE) spoke out on this subject. In this regard, Mustapha Zebdi claimed that he does not know more than the rest of the citizens. This was reported by the same news site.

In addition, the President of APOCE stressed the obligation to remedy this situation related to the importation of cars. By the way, Zebdi let it be known that it’s been long enough so far. On the other hand, the official spoke on behalf of the organization he chairs. Indeed, APOCE supports the decision to resume importing vehicles. And this, in the shortest possible time.

The goal is, notes the speaker, to meet the ubiquitous and exponential demand on the Algerian automotive market. And thus, to achieve “satisfying the needs of citizens”. Whether in terms of availability as much as the related prices, we conclude.
