Algeria Ferries: A Passenger Films the Mess on Arrival

Since the reopening of the borders in Algeria on June 1, 2021, several controversies have erupted on social networks.

Travelers initially denounce the very small number of authorized flights. Subsequently, we also complained about the unavailability of places. At the same time, the high ticket prices were also talked about on the Web.

At the end of October, the government authorized the resumption of sea crossings with France and Spain. One might think that the return of the maritime links would relieve the airlines a little, but in the end, travelers found themselves with other problems on the crossings, in particular, that with Spain.

The recovery took place in a stormy manner for Algérie Ferries, which very quickly stepped up to denounce the incivilities onboard its ships. But things are not improving.

The “trabendists” implicated

Testimonies followed one another on this phenomenon at the beginning of the resumption of crossings with Spain. Mess, dirt, anarchy, the organization of the national shipping company was considered to be failing. In a testimony that we had published on  visa-algerie.com, a passenger on the crossing between Alicante and Oran pointed the finger at the  ”trabendists”.

Clearly, Algérie Ferries still cannot find solutions to this situation. Indeed, in videos published this weekend on Facebook, a passenger from the Alicante-Oran crossing showed the mess when the ship descended, but also the unsanitary state of it after the crossing.

Garbage all over the floor as if there were no bins. Deplorable images that strongly harm the image of Algérie Ferries, which is called upon to crack down on this kind of behavior.

”I traveled in December by boat for the first and last time. I never saw that, I had no choice. The trip is long but I said to myself, it does not matter, I miss my family, especially my parents. But I never thought I’d see that once I arrived (Alicante Oran)”, indignantly the passenger who filmed the distressing scenes.
