Use of Dole airport (Jura) increased by 32% in 2021 compared to the previous year. This, thanks in part to Morocco.

Dole-Jura airport recorded 56,687 passengers in 2021, an increase of 32% compared to 2020. Compared to 2019 before the coronavirus crisis, this figure is however 50% lower. A good occupancy rate was recorded last November. “We are currently at 83% filling. Which is a very good rate for the period. Since the month of June, departures for Portugal and Morocco have been very popular,” said Jean-Jacques Berto, director of the airport structure, to the newspaper Le Progrès.

“The fillings are good on the flights that we have left”, at the start of 2022, indicates Jean-Jacques Berto. But the extension of the suspension of all passenger flights from and to Morocco until January 31, 2022, could have a negative impact on the load factor, because Dole-Jura airport has two destinations to the kingdom: Marrakech and Fes.
