The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani, proceeded yesterday, Tuesday, November 1 in Algiers, on the sidelines of the holding of the work of the 31st ordinary session of the League of Arab States, to the launch of the construction project of the Algerian-Qatari-German hospital, and of the one extending the complex of the Algerian-Qatari steel company in the region of Bellara in Jijel.
Indeed, on the sidelines of the Arab Summit, it was during an official ceremony that the Head of State and the Emir of Qatar launched the implementation of these two projects was organized at the Center International Conferences (CIC) of Algiers.
This infrastructure will have a capacity of 400 beds, will be built in accordance with international standards, in terms of hospital architecture and management. In addition, this building should allow the management of the majority of cases and surgical interventions, in particular those difficult ones which required a transfer abroad.
In addition, during Tebboune’s state visit to Qatar last February, a memorandum of understanding for the conduct of a feasibility study for the extension of the complex of the Algerian-Qatari steel company in the Bellara region in Jijel had been signed by both parties.
It should be noted that thanks to this extension project, the plant’s production capacity will increase from 2 million tons to 4 million tons annually.
The Emir of the State of Qatar congratulates Tebboune on the success of the Arab Summit
Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, congratulated in a tweet, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the success of the 31st Arab Summit. He also thanked Algeria for the good organization and hospitality.
In the same tweet, the Emir of Qatar that the conclusions of this summit would push joint Arab action towards broader horizons, “which respond to the aspirations of our Arab peoples for development and prosperity, and which support security and peace in the region”.
