The Sonatrach group signed Wednesday in Algiers, a memorandum of understanding with two Senegalese oil companies to examine the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of upstream and downstream hydrocarbons, indicates a press release from the oil and gas group published on his Facebook page.
As part of the visit of Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal, who received the Chairman and CEO of the Sonatrach Group on November 1, a delegation of top managers from Senegalese oil companies led by Messrs. Thierno Seydou LY, Managing Director of Petrosen Exploration & Production and Manar SALL, Managing Director of Petrosen Trading & Services, paid a working visit to Algeria from October 31 to November 02, 2022.
This visit was the occasion for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, today, between SONATRACH on the one hand and PETROSEN EXPLORATION & PRODUCTION and PETROSEN TRADING & SERVICES, on the other hand, to examine the possibilities of cooperation in the field of upstream and downstream hydrocarbons.
The delegation of oil companies in Senegal followed presentations highlighting the experience and capabilities of SONATRACH in the field of hydrocarbons.
In addition, it was agreed to organize in the coming weeks a visit to the oil and gas installations and infrastructures of SONATRACH.
Messrs. Thierno Seydou LY and Manar SALL were received at the headquarters of the General Management of
SONATRACH by Mr. Toufik HAKKAR, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, in the presence of senior executives of the Company.
During this meeting, the two parties discussed the prospects for cooperation and agreed to strive to put in place a roadmap to lay the foundations for an
effective and lasting collaboration.
As a reminder, following the signing of the cooperation agreement in the field of training between the Algerian Institute of Petroleum (IAP) and the National Institute of Petroleum and Gas of Senegal (INPG), on July 27, 2021, a first training action was carried out in distance mode (e-learning-in synchronous mode).
