Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov welcomed the results of the Arab summit held in Algiers, stressing that there is a concordance between Moscow’s position and the resolutions of the Arab Summit, particularly with regard to the Palestinian question.
“We welcome the decisions taken at the last Arab Summit held in Algiers,” Lavrov said Thursday during a joint press conference with the Jordanian MFA as part of the Russian minister’s tour of the Middle East.
“There is a convergence of views between the results of the Summit and that of Moscow, particularly with regard to the Palestinian question,” affirmed the Russian minister.
Last Tuesday, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, addressed a message to the participants in the 31st Arab Summit which opens this Tuesday, November 1 in Algiers, reported several media.
In his message, the Russian President underlined the important role played by the countries of the Middle East and North Africa.
