Algeria, ROK ink 5 deals to boost cooperation

Algeria an the Republic of Korea on Monday signed five memorandums of understanding covering various fields, as part of the visit of ROK Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon to the North African nation, APS news agency reported.

The signed agreements concern the domains of environment protection, the modernization of customs, investment cooperation and renewable energies.

These agreements were signed in the presence of Lee and his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Ouyahia during the fifth bilateral Business Forum.

Earlier in the day, an association pact was signed between the ROK auto giant Hyundai and the Algerian company of Global Group over the establishment of a truck and bus plant in Batna Province, 425km southeast of the capital Algiers.
