Algeria Tunisia: The Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, has revealed Algeria’s willingness to donate a significant quantity of the Corona vaccine to Tunisia.

On his arrival as a guest on the “Echorouk” channel, Abdel-Rahman bin Bouzid said that Algeria would donate one million doses of the Corona vaccine to Tunisia.

In this context, the Minister specified that the Algerian stock of the anti-Covid 19 vaccines is sufficient for two full years.

On the other hand, the spokesperson pointed out that Algeria has 130 BCRC laboratories.

As for the shortage of drugs, the Minister considers that this issue is beyond the competence of his ministerial department.

For his part, the director-general of the Pasteur Institute Algeria Faouzi Drar confirmed earlier the impossibility of selling the vaccines that Algeria has acquired, stressing that there are obligations that require Algeria to keep the vaccine within it and to use it for the Algerians. alone.

It should be noted that Algeria is preparing to market the locally-manufactured vaccine, as the director of the “Saidal” complex, Fatoum Akssem, said in a previous statement that the marketing of the anti-Corona vaccine manufactured in Algeria will be launched, as soon as the license was obtained from the World Health Organization.

The spokeswoman revealed that the countries to which the Algerian vaccine will be exported have been identified, in coordination with the Chinese partner, to avoid being in a single market.

For his part, the director of control at the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry, Bashir Allouach, stressed earlier that Algeria will not need to import the vaccine, except for donations provided by the World Health Organization. health within the framework of “Cofax”.
