A few weeks ago, all eyes were on the most important multidisciplinary sporting event after the Olympics. The latter has known, it should be remembered, as one of the best developments since its launch. It is in this context that the inhabitants of the Kabyle village Ighil Mahni, in Tizi Ouzou, welcomed their champion medalists at the JM d’Oran 2022 as heroines.
The 15th Algerian participation in the JM of Oran will remain engraved in the history of sport, but not only. This since it marked both the flag bearers of Algeria who collected a total of 53 medals. In addition to the Algerian citizens who attended the organization of the very first tournament of such a scale in their own country, what is more, was a real success.
Thus, since the end of the aforementioned sporting event, Algerian athletes have been received like kings. This is their respective wilayas. This is particularly the case for those from Ighil Mahni.
A town where the inhabitants have not done things by halves to welcome their Mediterranean champions. Bouquet of flowers, a crowd reserved for the reception, Idhebalen (traditional singing troupe)… Everything was there to celebrate as it should be their victory of theirs.

The new champions were, in fact, pleasantly surprised by the welcome given to them by the inhabitants of their native village. A large number of them responded to welcome them on their return. A traditional singing troupe (Idhebalen) was also present. A beautiful world that has created a friendly and joyful atmosphere.
Moreover, a ceremony was organized in their honor at the APC headquarters. This with the presence of several officials. In the midst of this compact crowd, the young athletes did not hesitate to respond to the requests of all those who came to congratulate them.
They then lent themselves to the game of selfies and souvenir photos. The least we can say is that the young Kabyle athletes, who will certainly still be talked about in the future, were treated to a welcome worthy of rockstars. And it’s all to their credit!
