In Algeria, 360 flights are scheduled each week from France. Several airlines including two Algerian operate flights, namely Air Algérie and Tassili Airlines. The latter returned to the international network for the first time since 2020.
In Morocco, the air transport offer is significant, particularly with France as part of Operation Marhaba, which relaunched for the first time in 2019.
To reconnect with international tourists, Tunisia has also put the package at the level of the air transport offer.
On social networks, Algerian Internet users tend to compare ticket prices to Algeria with those to Morocco and Tunisia from France.
Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia: can we compare flight prices?
The comparison is legitimate since there is practically the same distance from France. However, the comparison is somewhat biased. Indeed, the number of flights from France to each of these three countries is not the same.
The offer is much greater to Morocco and Tunisia than to Algeria despite the increase in the number of services within the framework of the summer program. It is therefore logical that prices are cheaper to Tunisia and Morocco than in Algeria in view of the supply.
Despite this, we have seen in previous simulations carried out by VVA ( visa-algerie.com ) that the fares were sometimes cheaper at Air Algérie compared with those of Royal Air Maroc over a given period.
In Algeria, a sharp drop in prices is observed over the period from the end of August until the end of September from Paris. We carried out this Saturday, July 23, new simulations at Royal Air Maroc (RAM) and Tunisair in the same period in order to compare prices.
Prices at Air Algérie, RAM, and Tunisair: no spectacular difference
Result: the prices are very close. The difference is not really spectacular. Traveling to Casablanca and Tunis costs almost the same as to Algiers over this period.
