The Minister of Industry, Ferhat Ait Ali Braham, received on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Ministry, the German Ambassador to Algeria, Madame Elisabeth Wolbers, the ministry said on Tuesday November 17, 2020 in a press release published on its page Facebook.

During this hearing, the two parties reviewed all economic issues of common interest, including regulatory aspects governing foreign investment in Algeria.

On this occasion, the Minister explained to his host the various measures, amendments and corrective measures already taken and the main axes of the future code governing foreign investment in Algeria.

The minister indicated that Algeria expects, through this new legal and regulatory arsenal, the revival of the national industrial machine, on solid bases and with qualified partners.

At the same time, he said he was in favor of any form of partnership with Germany, Algeria’s historic ally in the industrial field during the 1970s, pleading, in this sense, for win / win partnerships. which are long-term.

For her part, Madam the German Ambassador conveyed the interest of German companies to engage more in Algeria after the latest investment reforms, in particular the lifting of rule 51/49 governing foreign investment. .

It has shown its willingness to work for the improvement of economic relations in the common interest of the two countries.
