The French aircraft manufacturer Airbus is banking on its units in Morocco to increase its production capacity to 75 aircraft per month by 2026, declared Patrick Derderian, director of international cooperation of the Group in charge of Africa, during a press visit to the Airbus Atlantic Maroc Composites factory in Nouaceur. He underlined the quality of local skills, with 100% Moroccan staff.

Airbus, present in Morocco since 1951, has intensified its commitment over the past 30 years, aiming to propel the Moroccan aeronautical industry. The factory, specializing in composite parts for the A320 family of aircraft, employs nearly 1,000 people and plans to recruit 200 more in 2024. The parts produced range from the cockpit to the luggage boxes, then shipped to France for assembly.

The general director of Airbus Atlantic Maroc Composites, Housni Faek, highlighted the expertise and innovation of the factory, actively contributing to the excellence of the Moroccan aeronautical industry. Occupying 30,000 m², including 17,000 m² of workshops, the factory is a key supplier for Airbus, particularly for the A320 cockpit.

Airbus sees Morocco as a strategic partner, with centers of excellence developed in various fields such as electronics and assembly. The subsidiary, formerly STELIA Aerospace Maroc, continues to grow with the creation of a new 15,000 m² factory in 2014 in Midparc, bringing its total workforce to 1,000 employees.
