The Algerian Minister of Industry, Ahmed Zaghdar met the Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Economy of Moscow, Sergei Cheryomin with whom he discussed ways of strengthening industrial cooperation between Algeria and Russia, said a statement from the ministry, quoted by AL24 News.
The two parties examined ways of “strengthening economic cooperation between Algeria and Russia, particularly in the industrial field, with a view to raising it to the level of historical and political relations between the two countries”.
In this context, the two parties discussed the areas “which offer opportunities for fruitful partnership between Algerian economic operators and their Russian counterparts, such as the mechanical and railway industries, the pharmaceutical, mining and steel industries, in addition to the agriculture, tourism and culture,” the same source points out.
The two parties “agreed to intensify visits and contacts between businessmen and economic operators of the two countries, to define the projects and partnerships that can be implemented for the next period”, the statement added.
Sergei Cheryomin is on a working visit to Algeria at the head of a delegation of Russian economic operators.
