2026 World Cup: 9 Matches Relocated to Morocco!

As part of the qualifications for the 2026 World Cup, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) officially announced that it would host nine matches on behalf of different African selections forced to relocate their match as part of the 1st and 2nd days between November 15 and 21.

This decision was taken in application of the partnership and cooperation agreements that the FRMF maintains with several African football associations, which do not have stadiums approved by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and FIFA allowing them to play on their lands, such as Guinea and Burkina Faso. Ethiopia and Niger will thus “host” two matches in the Cherifian kingdom this month. This will also be the case for Burkina Faso (once as host country, the other as visitor) and Uganda (twice as the visitor).

It should be noted that the Atlas Lions do not appear in this list of matches. The reason given is the withdrawal of the Eritrea team. The Red Camels, as they are nicknamed, will not be present on Moroccan territory to meet Morocco and Congo this month, followed by Niger, Tanzania and Zambia in the days to come.
