UAE, Algeria discuss on boosting all-round cooperation

Foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Algeria on Tuesday discussed strengthening ties and boosting cooperations in all areas, the UAE state news agency WAM reported.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation of the UAE, met his visiting Algerian counterpart Abdelkader Messahel in Abu Dhabi, holding talks on enhancing collaboration mainly in politics, economy and security, WAM said.

They also exchanged viewpoints regarding updates in the regional situation and discussed several regional and international issues of common interest, including Syria, Libya, Yemenand Palestine.

Nahyan stressed that it is necessary to hold constant talks on developing the relations between two countries towards wider horizons, to answer the aspirations of the leadership and people of both countries.

For his part, Messahel stated that the relationship between the UAE and Algeria is exemplary and strategic and there is a need to strengthen it in all areas.

He also lauded the UAE’s leadership at the Arab and international level, as well as its leading role in solving regional and international issues.
