Turkish President Begins Official Visit to Algeria

Turkish President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, began an official visit to Algeria on Tuesday during which he will co-chair with the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the work of the 2nd session of the Algerian High-Level Cooperation Council -Turkish.

President Erdogan was welcomed upon his arrival at Houari-Boumediene international airport by President Tebboune, accompanied by senior state officials and members of the government. The two Presidents listened to the national anthems of the two countries before reviewing detachments of the National People’s Army who paid them the honors.

Erdogan pays tribute to the martyrs of the National Liberation War

The Turkish President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, prayed on Tuesday at the Martyr’s Sanctuary in Algiers, in memory of the martyrs of the glorious War of National Liberation.

Erdogan laid a wreath in front of the memorial stone and observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the Glorious Revolution of November 1, 1954.
