Nabil Ammar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, attended a Ramadan evening and Iftar organized by the Tunisian-African Business Council, on March 21, 2024, in a hotel in the capital, in honor of African ambassadors and consuls accredited in Tunisia, in the presence of Tunisian businessmen.

In his speech, the Minister thanked the President of the Tunisian-African Business Council, Mr. Anis Jaziri, for organizing this Ramadan evening. He praised the role of the Council in promoting Tunisia-Africa economic cooperation while wishing it success in organizing the seventh edition of the International Conference on Financing Investment and Trade in Africa “FITA2024 “, scheduled for June 11 and 12, 2024 under the patronage of the President of the Republic.

The Minister indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, through its various structures and services, is keen to encourage, accompany, and support all efforts aimed at promoting the business and tourism climate. investment in Tunisia.

He also called for further exploring new and innovative economic cooperation opportunities with brotherly African states within the framework of South-South and triangular cooperation, to establish a fair, united, and win-win partnership.

The Minister also recalled Tunisia’s firm attachment to the African dimension of its foreign policy, under the leadership of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, and its firm determination to support all regional initiatives aimed at achieving regional economic integration, to respond to the aspirations of African people for development and prosperity, particularly given the abundant human and natural resources that the Continent contains.

The Minister asked the African Ambassadors to convey his sincere greetings to his counterparts, emphasizing the concern of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad to maintain permanent contact with the African Ambassadors accredited in Tunisia, listen to their concerns and suggestions, and ensure favorable conditions to facilitate and succeed in their diplomatic missions in Tunisia.
