The President of the Tunisian League for the Defense of Human Rights (LTDH), who was received on December 23, 2022, at the Palace of Carthage, revealed that the meeting with the President of the Republic went beyond mere congratulations for his election to the presidency of the LTDH, adding that “the president was receptive and attentive during the meeting, but he did not have an answer to many of the questions that were raised”
Me Trifid, who intervened this Wednesday, December 28 by telephone in the program Studio Shems, affirmed that the president of the republic did not commit himself to anything, but that he was aware of the situation and considered that the country could not move forward that way, on his terms.
The president of the LTDH also declared that “the Head of State is aware that certain things must not continue as they are”.

The questions raised by Mr. Trifi are linked to the political situation in Tunisia, to excesses committed by the security institution or by the electoral commission during the last legislative elections, among other subjects that the LTDH has raised in its latest press releases.
