The Head of the Tunisian Government, Najla Bouden, received on Monday a delegation from the Committee on External Relations of the European Parliament, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Jerandi and the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Tunisia Marcus Cornaro at the Kasbah Palace.

On this occasion, Bouden reviewed the holding of legislative elections and the participatory approach adopted since the announcement of the roadmap and launched following a national consultation and meetings with national organizations to include later all representatives of civil society.

For its part, the European delegation expressed its pride in the distinguished relations that unite the two parties, stressing its support for Tunisia in its reform process with a view to strengthening democracy. And to affirm the need to respect the principles of participation and pluralism.
