Traveling to France: changes for the Algerian and Moroccan travelers starting November 11

The Consulate General of France in Algiers & Rabat indicated, in a statement made public this Saturday, November 7, that travelers from Algeria and Morocco to France should present a “negative virologic biological screening test carried out less than 72 hours before the flight or the crossing ”.

In a statement released via his official Facebook page, the French diplomatic representative indicated that “as of November 11, travelers from Algeria & Morocco going to France, regardless of their nationality or status, must present before boarding a negative virologic screening test or biological examination carried out less than 72 hours before the flight or crossing ”.

The same source also recalled that “the external borders of the Schengen Area are closed, except for exemptions and derogations”. In Algeria & Morocco, traveling to France is allowed to European nationals, foreigners residing in France and Algerians & Moroccan holding a D visa for a country in the Schengen area. However, no health restrictions apply to travelers from Member States of the European Union, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, United Kingdom, St. Marin, of the Holy See and of Switzerland.
