Transavia: Drop In Ticket Prices to Algeria

The low-cost airline, Transavia in this case, plans to revise the prices of tickets for its flights to Algerian airports. We invite you to discover more details on this subject in our edition of Sunday, March 27.

It’s no secret to anyone, or at least to those who follow travel news! The Algerian territory has been, since the start of the pandemic, one of the most expensive destinations in Africa. A fact that continues to arouse the anger of nationals, many of whom reside in France. To go in the direction of the interest of retaining its Algerian customers, Transavia intends to proceed with a reduction in the price of tickets to Algeria.

Since the partial reopening of the borders, the Dutch air carrier has been operating services from mainland France to Algeria. Like his peers, we, therefore, cite Air France, Volotea, and ASL Airlines, he is constantly singled out. This is because of the tariffs of its lines. The latter is indeed considered, by many, “exorbitant”.

It must be said that there is no need to be savvy in the calculation to realize that the prices greatly exceed the standards of a low-cost company. For example, a one-way ticket between Montpellier and Algiers-Houari-Boumédiène international airport started at 450 euros during the current month. It has reached 469 € in recent days. Figures beyond the reach of many citizens residing abroad.

Flights to Algeria: Transavia makes an effort on the price!

For its May flight schedule departing for Algeria, the Air France subsidiary has therefore decided to make a commercial effort. She dedicates it in particular to prospecting for new clients. While the price of its Franco-Algerian line was close to 500, sometimes 600, euros, it chose to reconnect with the reduced pricing policy. It, therefore, intends to offer its next flights from Paris to Algiers at 390 €.

A first since the start of the partial reopening of Algerian airspace. This is indeed what Transavia has announced. She came forward via her website this Saturday. According to the same source, these flights should begin from Friday, May 13. The departure will be at 9:00 a.m. from Paris-Orly airport. The arrival in Algiers will take place around 10:30 a.m.

This is what the above-mentioned air carrier also specified. It should also be recalled that the Algerian government has still not decided on the new Air Algerie program. The one was announced recently via a press release from the Ministry of Transport (MT) before it was finally withdrawn for reasons not yet elucidated.
