A day devoted to space sciences will be organized on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 2:00 p.m., by the Cité des sciences in Tunis (CST), in collaboration with the Tunisian Astronomical Society (SAT), on the occasion of World Space Week celebrated from October 4 to 10 each year.

World Space Week is an initiative of the United Nations, launched in 1999 by the “Vienna Declaration”. This event takes place every year from October 4 to 10, to mark the “international celebration of the contribution of science and technology to the improvement of the human condition”.

This event commemorates the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, Sputnik 1, which took place on October 4, 1957, and the entry into force of the Outer Space Treaty on October 10, 1967.

On the program for this day, conferences were presented by scientific supervisors from the CST on many subjects such as satellite positioning, space and its applications and finally how to track the international space station using python.
