The Charges Brought by the Courts against Kadi Ihsene, the Boss of Interface Media

DIA-December 30, 2022: The boss of the company “Interface media”, Kadi Ihsene was placed in pre-trial detention on Thursday for several charges, including receiving funds from inside the country and from abroad with the intention to commit acts likely to undermine the security of the State and the national interest, indicates a press release from the public prosecutor at the court of Sidi M’hamed.

“In application of the provisions of article 11 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the public prosecutor at the Court of Sidi M’hamed informs the public of the opening of a preliminary investigation, by the judicial police services, against the named (Kadi Ihsene) for his involvement in receiving funds from within the country and from abroad, and collecting donations without permission to propagate foreign services through the exploitation of the headquarters of the company +Interface Médias+ to manage the unauthorized website (Maghreb Emegeant and Radio M) through which it presents to the public publications and programs likely to harm the national interest, via various social networks”, specifies the same source.

The respondent was presented before the public prosecutor at the Sidi M’hamed Court on December 29, 2022, where he was prosecuted “in accordance with the judicial investigation procedures, for charges related to the receipt funds and benefits from organizations and individuals within the country and abroad with the intention of committing acts likely to undermine the security and stability of the State, the national unity, territorial integrity, and public security and order”.

He was also accused of “receiving funds for propaganda from a foreign source, publishing to the general public content likely to harm the national interest, and collecting donations without authorization”, notes the same source.

After hearing the defendant, the investigating judge ordered his placement in pre-trial detention, the statement concluded.
