The CEO of Saidal, Wassim Kouidri, unveiled an ambitious plan to introduce 120 new drugs for chronic diseases on the market by the end of 2024. This announcement, made during his intervention on the program Forum of the first national radio channel, echoes the plan deployed by the company to meet health needs in Algeria.

Saidal will soon begin manufacturing 120 new drugs to treat chronic diseases. A major step forward for the national pharmaceutical company which seeks to expand its product range while meeting market demand.

During his speech, Kouidri stressed that among these drugs, 30 will be specifically dedicated to the treatment of heart diseases, a significant advance in the field of cardiology.

The company, currently focused on a new strategy, aims to produce innovative drugs in Algeria, thus offering considerable added value, particularly in the treatment of cancers, said the same source.

A major initiative mentioned by the Director General is the creation of a center specializing in cell therapy, a first both nationally and in Africa. This center is designed to facilitate therapeutic monitoring of patients with chronic illnesses such as stroke, cancer and blood diseases.

Saidal launches into the production of raw materials for antibiotics

Alongside these advances, Saidal is committed to ensuring a stable supply of raw materials for the production of antibiotics at affordable prices. This measure aims to meet market needs while taking into account the purchasing power of patients, with the aim of covering up to 27% of national needs for medicines by the end of the year.

Furthermore, Kouidri announced the organization of high-level training sessions for biotechnology students, especially for those engaged in doctoral programs. These sessions, supervised by experienced professors and active partners, will provide participants with employment opportunities in their respective fields.
