MOSTAGANEM- Chief Executive Officer of Sonelgaz Group Mustapha Guitouni said Sunday, in Mostaganem, that a programme is under development nationwide aimed at producing 4,000 megawatts of electricity from renewable energies (solar and windmill).
In a statement to the press on the sidelines of his visit to the province, Guitouni underlined that “the Ministry of Energy is currently developing the specifications of this project. This document will be finalized by the end of December or beginning of 2017.”
He underlined that 400 megawatts of electricity were generated nationwide by the use of renewable energies.
Sonelgaz’ CEO said that the Group’s debts to its customers (natural person, companies and local authorities) amount to DZD60 billion and their recovery will be accomplished through rescheduling.
He also excluded currently any increase in electricity prices.
