Prince Moulay Hicham was once again expelled from Tunisia where he had come to take part in an academic conference organized by the Arabic edition of the diplomatic world. This is the second time that the Moroccan prince, in disagreement with Rabat, has been expelled from Tunisia. The first time was on September 8, 2017, when he came to hold a conference there on Tunisia’s democratic transition.

Moulay Hicham is the paternal cousin of King Mohamed VI and the maternal cousin of Prince Walid Ibn Talal Ibn Abdulaziz. He has sometimes been nicknamed the “red prince” because of his commitment to the democratization of Morocco, he is fourth in the line of succession to the throne.

He is currently undesirable in Morocco following his statements on the Makhzen and Rabat regimes.
