ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika has congratulated Donald J. Trump on his election as US president, stressing the quality of friendship relations and cooperation between the two nations.
“The American people, through the presidential election of 8 November 2016, has given you their votes to become their president,” the head of State wrote in a message.
“Following your brilliant election, it’s a pleasure to offer you, on behalf of the Algerian people and government as well as in my own name, our warmest and heartiest congratulations, along with my sincere wishes for your success in fulfilling your noble mission, in the service of your big nation.”
“The confidence placed in you does show recognition of your ability to put your commitment, your energy and your talent in the service of the American people, our friends, who aspire to more progress, more justice and well-being, in respect of the values that distinguish your noble Nation,” President Bouteflika underlined.
The head of State added that Trump’s brilliant election and the United States’ influence worldwide will lead the world to expect from the president-elect to play a major role in restoring international peace and security, establishing dialogue and understanding among peoples and boosting international cooperation.
