Permanent Two-year Visas Are Now Granted to Mauritanian Businessmen Wishing To Travel to Morocco

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Mauritania has decided to grant all members of the National Union of Mauritanian employers permanent visas for two years to enter Moroccan territory from this Wednesday.

According to the Mauritanian information agency, this decision is an important step to facilitate the movement and consolidation of exchanges between the economic actors of the two countries.

This decision was announced during a meeting between the president of Mauritanian employers Mohamed Zein El Abidine O. Cheikh Ahmed and the Moroccan ambassador to Mauritania, Hamid Chabar.

During this meeting, the president of the UNPM made a presentation on the efforts made by the union in the field of economic and social development, the strengthening of trade and economic exchanges and support for investments.

The same source specifies that the Moroccan ambassador to Mauritania reaffirmed the importance of diversifying and expanding the sphere of trade and the establishment of a constructive partnership between private sector actors in the two countries.

The two parties also agreed to organize two economic forums in Mauritania and Morocco over the next two months and also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.
