“What we can say for the moment is that we have ruled out arboviruses. It’s all that is yellow fever, chikungunya, Ebola, rift valley fever, etc. all these diseases transmitted by insects have been ruled out,” reveals the Director of Prevention.
Dr. Elhadj Mamadou Ndiaye, points out that a battery of investigations is currently underway to, in the coming hours or in the coming days, see if there is other evidence.
“And maybe even consider collaboration with other sectors. Because it is a phenomenon that has appeared in humans, it is necessary to see if there is no contamination around the environment. Nothing is ruled out for the moment,” specifies the doctor.
